The following is a hard-hitting shock report that others are too afraid to expose or face up to. So I will.

The National Health Service (NHS) was a great idea when it began in July 1948. Aneurin Bevan, the Health Minister at the time stated: “Not only is it available to the whole population freely, but it is intended . . . to generalise the best health advice and treatment.”
Almost 8 decades later, this grand idea is on its knees, with absolutely no chance of recovery. Indeed, I heard just this morning on Radio 4 that one person in authority being interviewed stated that the whole organisation was broken, and there was no intention of fixing it. The cost and the burden on the country is simply too high and increases daily. However, those increased costs are not all due to the reasons you might think!
NHS Challenges
Let’s outline some of the challenges – and note I said ‘some‘. It is the tip of a very big iceberg.
STOP PRESS April 2024 – Hundreds of people die every week in A&E. CLICK HERE
Theft and Fraud
A staggering £1.25 BILLION a year is stolen from the public health service – enough for 40,000 nurses. This ranges from the thefts of things like bandages and sticking plasters to huge-scale fraud involving millions of pounds.
CLICK HERE to read about it in this article. you will be shocked at who the perpetrators are.
Wastage
The amount of wastage in the NHS is huge. Again, this is the tip of a very big iceberg. Take a look – in particular, check out the compensation for botched operations, misdiagnosis etc. That’s £1.23 billion of pain, suffering, and deaths due to errors.

What surprises me most of all is the fact that the NHS will not take back crutches, walking frames, medical boots and other equipment. These end up either in people’s lofts and garages or on the rubbish tip. Astonishing. A huge and unnecessary waste of money, and there is no system in place for people to actually return the items to hospitals.
Pandemic Wastage
We wonder why the NHS is starved of money. Suffice it to say that during the pandemic, billions upon billions of pounds were wasted, spent unnecessarily, and corruptly given to companies as contracts for PPE equipment – companies that have never traded before,e companies that have never secured PPE equipment, and companies that literally stole the money, It has been stated that over 10 billion pounds of PPE equipment was substandard and could not be used. Worse than that, this useless equipment was stored in containers costing millions of pounds every month.
Track and Trace Farce
Do you know how much the useless Track and Trace system cost during the pandemic? Let me tell you – it was £37 billion pounds! Check out this article.
Now you know why there isn’t any money to properly fund the NHS. It was stolen, wasted, and now lines other people’s pockets. In my view, this is truly shocking,
Sexual Assaults in Hospitals
More than 100,000 incidents of sexual violence and misconduct in NHS hospitals in England are not being recorded and investigated every year, experts have warned.
These incidents relate to a) Patients abusing other patients, b) Patients abusing staff, and c) Staff abusing patients. I believe the problem is even bigger – many unreported or undiscovered assaults are clearly carried out on unconscious/dying patients who are not aware of what has happened to them. So all in all, you are not safe or protected in the hospital environment, which should be a safe haven in times of severe distress and discomfort.
Waiting List/ WaitingTimes
As I write this (March 2024) the number of patients on hospital waiting lists is expected to top 8 million. The amount of time people in many regions wait for an ambulance, or wait in A&E varies from region to region. This will give you some idea of the scale of the problem: With staff overwhelmed, at one point in January, no fewer than 23 hospitals declared a ‘black alert’, meaning they were unable to guarantee life-saving emergency care. That month an elderly woman suffered a fatal cardiac arrest after waiting 35 hours on a trolley in A&E at Worcester Royal Hospital.
There are further cases of people dying whilst waiting for hours for an ambulance, and patients lying for hours on end on hospital trolleys in corridors, in their own filth. My god – this all sounds like a third-world country, doesn’t it?
Don’t get me started on GP appointments, or the lack of them. We are fortunate where we live. Our GPs are wonderful, but I know that in many areas of the country trying to get an appointment is as rare as rocking horse poop. I feel for the people who have discovered a medical problem which to them is worrying – even terrifying – yet they have to wait weeks just to get to see the doctor, in order to get referred, which takes many more weeks, and in some cases months. All during that time their medical problem is simply getting worse, particularly in the case of cancer. Any delay is potentially fatal.

Chiefs and Indians
I think we all know by now that the NHS is top-heavy with managers, who earn extraordinary salaries for not doing their jobs properly. If they did, we would have properly run health service, wouldn’t we? There is also huge amounts of money wasted on harebrained IT schemes and management reorganisations. Billions of pounds are diverted into the pockets of technology companies and management consultants (many of whom once worked for the NHS).
My heart goes out to the genuine, caring front-line nurses and doctors who must be frustrated at the chaos caused by their so-called superiors. how can they hope to do their jobs properly, and with the right equipment and support? Truth is – they can’t.
Strikes by Health Workers
I think we can all agree that health workers should be paid what they are worth. They wade through a sea of blood, vomit, urine and faeces daily (to put it mildly) and see things that you and I would never hope to see.
I witnessed trauma, injuries and deaths as a police officer, but that was nothing compared to what these people deal with – apart from abuse by drunks, addicts, racial abuse and violence from aggressive individuals. Yet the government have ignored them for years, causing a huge problem concerning wages. Unfortunately, the knock-on effect is that the NHS descends into even more chaos whilst the staff struggle with trying to get paid what they should be paid.
Health Care Workers Sacked by the Government
It is irrelevant what your feelings were about whether or not healthcare workers should have been forced to be vaccinated during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is an emotive subject. The point is that tens of thousands of nurses and care workers were sacked by them. Like duh – the government now say we don’t have enough nurses or care home staff. They damn well got rid of an army of experienced, dedicated, caring people!
Hospital Trusts
There are over 200 hospital trusts, with some of them serving several hospitals. Many of them are billions of pounds in debt for one thing or another. CLICK HERE to read about the incredibly serious financial disaster that many of them face. This is clearly total mismanagement, from the hospital managers through to whoever is the Health Minister. If you and I ran a business like these people do, we would be bankrupt and called to task over potential misappropriation/misuse of funds. Don’t get me wrong -there are some dedicated, efficient, caring hospital managers somewhere, but these are the exceptions.
During my research, I found a list of the top 10 UK hospitals, which proves that with the right management and the right staff, hospitals can be run efficiently. Hopefully, there are more that can be added to this list, but it is a good start. CLICK HERE to check them out.
Conversely, there are several hospitals or services within the hospitals (such as maternity) that are in special measures, because they are so poorly run.
Furthermore, many hospital buildings are no longer fit for purpose. They are in urgent need of repair, with some wards and operating theatres being unusable. In some hospitals, the situation is so bad that overweight patients can only stay in ground floor wards, for fear of the floors collapsing if they were housed in wards above ground.
Ongoing Care
The mental health care sector is in crisis. The care home sector is in crisis. Ambulance trusts are struggling to provide even a basic level of service. The population is ageing, which is a situation that is only going to get worse.
The National Health Service is dying. so you need to look after yourself properly to avoid being sucked into a system that is simply not fit for purpose any more,
